What we collect

NewFind stores account identifiers, saved finds, plans, preferences, submissions, quick reactions, business claims and limited operational records needed to provide the service. Approximate area is used for local results; precise browser coordinates are not stored by the current web app.

Reactions, claims and removal requests

Icon reactions are associated with your account identifier to prevent duplicate votes; public displays show aggregated counts, not who reacted. Business claims and removal requests require a permanent account, role and business email and are visible only to the requester and authorised NewFind editors during verification.

Ask NewFind

Your question and recent conversation context may be sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. Catalogue facts are retrieved from NewFind. Ask interaction records expire after 30 days and can be deleted from your account.

Published listings

NewFind stores publication, review and basic service records needed to operate a listing. Publication fees never improve ranking, and precise device coordinates are not stored.

Content profiles and location verification

Public listing evidence may be processed by OpenAI to extract categories and supported facts. Public venue names and addresses may be sent to Google Maps for location verification; this enrichment does not send your account details or device coordinates. Google processes information under its Privacy Policy. Selected interests and explicit not-interested feedback help order recommendations and can be changed or cleared in your account settings. We do not currently infer sensitive traits from click histories.

Your choices

You can use limited features anonymously, create a permanent account for cross-device access, or remove saved items and plans. In You privacy settings, you can delete server-stored Ask history or request account deletion. A request does not immediately delete the account: business access and retained publication records require review first. Use Help and reporting for corrections or other requests.

Retention and abuse prevention

A daily maintenance task removes expired Ask records, so removal may occur after the 30-day expiry. To limit model abuse, NewFind hashes account or visitor network identifiers and keeps short-lived counters. Hashing is not a guarantee of anonymity.

Service providers

NewFind uses Supabase for application data and authentication and OpenAI for Ask responses. Source websites receive normal browser information when you follow their links.
